What was needed
A stalled cybersecurity programme needed urgent rescue across a non-profit health system with 30 hospitals, six states, and an $8M annual budget. Leadership needed a clear diagnosis, a credible plan, and fast results.
What I did
Identified root causes, produced a workable turnaround plan within 30 days, and began delivering business value within three months. Managed 12 cybersecurity projects, trained and mentored project managers, and worked directly with the CISO, executive team, and architects to build strategic plans and secure stakeholder approval for critical initiatives.
What it meant
  • Program delivery likelihood more than doubled from 40% to 83% in three months
  • A new cybersecurity engineering delivery framework created, adopted as the standard template for all of Banner Health IT
  • Consistent reporting, scalable governance, and a common delivery approach established across the entire project office
  • A program that was a liability became an organisational asset
