In January on 2024, I was sought after to lead an Agile transformation for two new portfolios, developing SVB’s Agile practices and upgrading the new portfolio and program delivery plans to drive data-driven decisions.

Enabling Operational Stability:

Leveraged previous SVB experience in scalable Agile and project practices for 15 product managers, 200+ engineers, analysts, and testers that encompassed six portfolios and 15+ Scrum teams, improving certainty of business value delivery from 64% to 93% on average for five teams and advancing stability by 23% in two months.

Driving Process Alignment:

Implemented strategies to unify six distinct business verticals into a cohesive portfolio and deployed a consistent delivery model, increasing efficiencies and ways of working/reporting along with ensuring alignment from SVP level down. Successfully met audit and compliance requirements for a large financial institution.

I joined the Circle K team for brief contract assignment for the North American convenience store chain to implement agile-based project delivery processes within the Data Science division for teams located throughout the US and India.

Revitalized department culture to maintain fixed team membership focused on scope and accountable empowerment by applying common Agile ways of working. Improved the predictability of the portfolio delivering business value from -56% to +76%, and portfolio stability from -43% to +25% within three months.

Developed and launched a comprehensive portfolio planning and execution strategy including intake/triage process, technical delivery, testing, and release planning that aligned with business strategic objectives.

I was contracted with a leading non-profit health system spanning 30 hospitals across six states, leveraging my previous success in revitalizing underperforming programs. I managed a diverse portfolio of 12 cybersecurity projects, overseeing an $8M annual budget. In addition to training and mentoring project managers in addition, I served as the escalation point for project risks and constraints. Collaborated closely with CISO, Executive team, and architects to craft and implement strategic plans, securing stakeholder approval for critical initiatives.

Recruited to turn around a program struggling to deliver business value by mitigating the root cause, producing a workable plan in 30 days, and delivering value to the business in three months. Likelihood of the program delivering business value increased from 40% to 83%.

Propelling Effective Best Practices:

Created a common framework for cybersecurity engineering project delivery best practices, bringing a consistent approach, common reporting, and scalable governance for new cybersecurity project office. This model was implemented as a template for Banner Health IT.

Recruited to establish a department and develop processes focused on mitigating operational risks affecting physical systems critical to the safety of patients and clinicians.
